Angus Fletcher, episode 201-202
In episode 9, with Judith Dupré we discussed Angus’s amazing book WonderWorks. It’s one of my favorite books of the year for sure. I think I was sufficiently effusive in Judith’s episode. After I read WonderWorks, I just cold emailed Angus and asked him some questions. He graciously offered to chat with me about them and after our first conversation I invited him on the podcast. As you can hear in the episode, we both love talking about ideas. I came away from the conversation feeling energized and like I’d learned something. I think that comes through in the episode and I hope you’ll feel the same way listening to it.
I learned a lesson from this experience which is simply that reaching out to people you admire is a great idea. The worst case scenario, the one I frankly expected, was that Angus would ignore my email. That would have been a negligible blow to my pride. What actually happened was the best case scenario: I’m now connected to a like-minded and talented person who I admire and I was able to showcase a some of his talents for you guys.
